Welcome to the Living with XXY Newsletter!

It's better late than never, and our October newsletter is a special issue of all the fantastic things happening this month. I have been busier than ever and growing with my skills to manage my time effectively while wearing many hats.

The cover photo was taken in Boise, ID, while I on vacation with my parents to see my sister and her family. I squeezed in a breakfast Sunday morning and enjoyed our conversations over a beautiful meal. This community has become my second family and I look forward to our future together. Tara Whitfield shares her story about her son Westin. Her first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. When Tara was ten weeks pregnant, she opted for NIPT.

Being a nurse, when the results came back positive for XXY, she had never heard of it. Tara has listened to every single podcast, and it has been a light for her in dark times during her diagnosis. Tara encourages others to share their stories.

Update: I’m a Dad

In Feb 2022, I learned my body doesn’t produce sperm due to being XXY (Klinefelter Syndrome), which I was diagnosed with three months prior. Parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, nephew, niece, family near and far, and dearest friends: we wouldn’t be here without every one of you.

Thank you to Ryan Bergante for creating Living with XXY and putting me in contact with Gareth and Ricardo. Discovering I wasn’t the only guy with XXY has been helpful beyond words. Thanks a lot, fellas! Without Debra, there would be no Rodrigo as you know me today. Without Debra, there would be no Lia Pecot Marrón. Welcome to the world, our little Lia🤎 my courage soars when I see you.
